Personality: Elliot has a big personality. She’s full of fire and fierce will. There’s no way she’ll back down from any fight, and is ready to take on as much responsibility as is needed. One thing she flat out doesn’t allow, is sexism and will fight to show that she’s just as fast or strong as any guy out there. When things get tough, Elliot gets tougher. Nothing will beat her and she’s sure of it. As you can tell, she’s got confidence. Elliot just doesn’t know when to back down, which can get her into trouble, but she just doesn’t understand that there’s a time to stand down. In addition to that because of her perseverance, she doesn’t know when it’s time to give up and deal with a situation a different way. She’s stubborn and can sometimes be so confident in herself that she’s sure that no one else can be right. However, she’s good at adapting to any situation to make the best out of it, especially if there’s other factors (like the cubs) to consider. She’s loyal and won’t give up on anyone.
Family: Never knew them.
History: Elliot was an orphan for as long as she could remember, in Ireland. She never knew her her parents were, and quite frankly, didn’t really care. It was their loss if they’d given her up, why would she want to meet such people? Elliot had always been bullied and teased about her ‘boy’ name, but never failed to defend herself. Her spirit and fire kept her sane and safe throughout her life. She was never accepted as one of the girls because of her tough, tomboy attitude and the boys were too immature about girls until they got into high school. So, alone Elliot stayed.
She never knew that she was different, other than the peer alienation that she experienced. It was only when she turned fifteen that she realized that she was more different than she could ever imagine. As a top scoring student in her school, especially in biology, Elliot was presented with the opportunity to go to sub-saharan Africa with a few other high-scoring students.
The best part was, that most of it was paid for because of her success in Biology, as she had taken advanced classes and still scored highest in her class. This meant that Elliot could go.
They went on a safari, tracking lions, impala herds, wildebeest and anything else that they could find. There was an immediate problem when the truck broke down, and the kids hadn’t brought cell-phones, and the guide’s had died earlier.
Instant panic set in when they realized how far away they were from civilization with no way back. Night fell, and the solution was to start walking as a group as soon as the sun came up they next morning.
Exhausted from stress, everyone fell into a restless sleep light by the moon and stars. To Elliot, it was too bright to sleep and in a small bus, there was no chance. Especially because someone needed to keep guard. Elliot elected herself into that position.
In the silence, she heard a strange mewling, faint and weak. Intrigued and bored, Elliot crept out of the bus into the cool african night and silently crept toward the bushes, hoping an angry big cat wouldn’t decide to have her for a midnight snack.
What she found was two abandoned cheetah cubs, tiny little blue grey fur balls. Stunned, Elliot didn’t know what to do. She didn’t want to touch them, just in case the mother came back, but she needed to check to see if they were abandoned. Throwing caution to the wind, Elliot picked one up, it was very thin. Abandoned.
Overwhelming sadness drowned Elliot as the she looked at the poor kittens. That was when her skin started searing and her joints popped. Her vision blurred and she felt unimaginable pain.
When she opened her eyes, two cheetah cubs were curled into her stomach. Startled she rose to her… paws? Elliot couldn’t believe it, she was a cheetah. The surprised noises she made attracted the attention of her classmates and the tour guide. She tried to tell them it was her, that she needed help- but the feral growls and hisses that came out of her maw warned them away.
The situation was bad. Elliot didn’t know how to convince her classmates of who she was, and she couldn’t follow them- what about the cubs?
And so, Elliot was left in Africa, not knowing how to change back.
It was learn fast, or die along with the cubs, so Elliot chose to learn. Quickly she learned how to control her new body, how to hunt and feed the cubs. It was trial and error, but she made it. One of the cubs sickened and died of an illness unknown to Elliot, but she couldn’t dwell on it as long as one was left.
For thirteen months she taught and raised the cub, until it was ready to leave, and it did.
That left Elliot alone on the savanna. Until she ran into smugglers and was captured. She was shipped to America and was handed over to more people than she could imagine. It was all money trade, and she still couldn’t turn back. As long as she was a cheetah, she knew that she was at least fed and given water, even if it was in a cage.
Eventually she ended up at the Silverthorn Crossing zoo, still unable to switch to her human form after three years.
