Lela Morina was bored, bored almost right out of her mind. Her wine red bangs fell in her face as she strolled the Silverthorn Crossing mall. Humans were abundant, women grouped together and moving from store to store, families shopping and couples just wandering around but those were mostly teenagers. Lela flicked her bangs out of her blue-green eyes as she surveyed the crowds.
Her black high heeled boots clicked against the tile floor, adding three inches to her height of exactly five feet tall. Her hands were tucked inside the pockets of her black leather jacket, contrasting nicely with her pale skin. Human males watched as she past but she ignored them, she was too busy moping. Strange thing to do, mope in the mall, but Lela always had been considered strange, especially when she went to school.
There was a reason for that of course. Lela was a pixie. As in a small little humanoid magical creature not near as powerful as a Faerie with a mischievous streak about a mile wide. Yep, that was Lela, and she enjoyed being a pixie too…except it got lonely sometimes because of her extended lifeline. Just recently she had had the unpleasant experience of burying a woman Lela had watched grow up in this town. Maybe that was why she was at the mall moping. Lela shrugged her emotions off and settled into one of the chairs at a table in the food court to people watch.

Spencer was overwhelmed by all the smells and sounds of the mall. She always got a little overwhelmed with the sights and smells. She had been so used to the quite charm of the country side that she had forgotten that there was this whole huge big world out there. In fact she loved Canada, it was so...busy. Perhaps one of these days she'd find a running partner who would explore the woods around here with her but till them she was quite content with humanity. She just had to be sure she found a place to change before the full moon.
Spencer's feet had begun to heart from the boots she was wearing, she had to resist the urge to go down on all fours and walk around that way, sometimes the urge to be wolf hit her at odd moments. She had seen some guys give her the eye as she walked by, so she growled. It wasn't spring yet, they were going to have to wait. And she was sure that it wasn't spring yet, she was still dressed in her sweaters and jeans. She regretted growling though, it was a little sketchy to be growling like a wolf in public. She was going to have to watch that.
A smell hit Spencer hard, the smell of magic, the smell of a pixie to be more specific. She and Eric back in the old days back in Scotland had run into a few of them in the woods. They were tricky little creatures, but Spencer found them a lot of fun to be around. She sniffed the air and followed the smell until she found a small girl in black heels, sitting at a table in the food court. Spencer tilted her head in curiosity, she seemed sad. So in a lope like gait, Spencer made her way toward the pixie. She sat right in the chair right infront of her. Spencer was a very upfront type of gal. "I thought your kind was supposed to be a little more...cheery," she said her Scottish accent thick.

Lela had been people watching for about fifteen minutes but she wasn't really paying attention. Her mind was a thousand miles away as she relived the past fify years. Her life used to be so simple, then she got involved in the lives of humans. Things had been fun for a while. Humans were fun things to play with, to mess with. That had all come to an end when a little girl she had been babysitting saw her use magic. Lela had quickly grown attatched to that little girl and then she had to go and die.
A tear rolled down Lela's cheek. Lela quickly whiped the tear away and tried to refocus on the present. There was no reason to dwell on things that she couldn't change. Lela scanned the crowds again when a distinctly canine smell hit her sensative nose. Her head turned, scanning the crowds as she expanded her senses. There, coming towards her. The distinct feel of werewolf brushed against her. Lela honed in on the presence and saw a pretty girl walking towards her. The girl growled at the group of boys who were eyeing her and Lela smiled slightly. It wasn't spring, those boys were out of luck.
Lela watched the girl as she came towards her and was surprised when the werewolf sat down across from her. Lela stared at the girl with deadpanned eyes and a clear 'What do you want?' expression on her face.
"I thought your kind was supposed to be a little more...cheery," the girl said.
Lela raised an eyebrow at her. "We cant always be happy all the time, you know," Lela said. "Sometimes you've got to let yourself feel something else."

"Yeah...Sorry. I'm just excited to find someone who was you know...not human," Spencer said lowly, making sure that no one else would here.
She ran her fingers through her fire coloured hair and sighed. She had grown so lonely in the company of humans, even though she was human most the the year. But she had grown wild, and without Eric around she was going mad. She had no one to talk to, and she meant really talk to. Humans were to ignorant for good conversation. Though she knew some pretty ignorant werewolves too.
Spencer was shocked when she smelt the salty smell of tears. She knew tears well, she cried many of them when Eric died. She looked at the Pixie with sad eyes.
"Are you alright? I mean that's a dumb question but something is bothering you?" she asked, her concerned scottish motherly voice coming out full force.
Spencer was very protective and caring by nature. She watched out for her "pack" even if she really didn't have one. FOr now the people like her were her pack. And that was how she liked it.

Lela blinked in surprise. She wasn't used to being called out so publicly or by someone who admitted to feeling the exact same way she was feeling. "I'm glad to meet someone in the same situation," Lela said in a tone that suggested polite indifference. In truth there was no reason for her to trust this werewolf, of course there was no reason to atleast be polite. After all, if she made a friend of this werewolf that could be a good thing. Werewolves were notoriously loyal, as in ridiculously so. Not that Lela minded, she'd had a werewolf boyfriend once but that had ended when he had had to run because there were potchers in the area.
Lela blinked in surprise when the werewolf asked "Are you alright? I mean that's a dumb question but something is bothering you?" Quickly, she reached up and whipped her face, making sure there were no tears. But of course, there were tea tracks and risidual salt. Lela should have known that her new werewolf companion would smell it.
"I've been better," Lela said carefully choosing her words so as not to give away too much, afterall the werewolf was still a stranger. "And it's not a dumb question. I appreciate it. I'm Lela. What's your name?"

"I'm Spencer," the werwolf said with a smile, offering her hand to shake, "Glad to meet you, Lela. It gets awful lonely in this world. And I don't know a soul here. It's my first time in North America."
It was true, Spencer really was a stranger in a strange land. She had never been anywhere near North America, especially such a large town like Silverthorn. She had begun to miss the Scottish countryside, but she was growing used to living in a town. She was just curious what she was going to do with herself. She was even more curious if there was anymore werewolves around, or even if there any other supernaturals. She had already found a pixie, she was sure that there was others. She hoped there wasn't vampires though... she didn't like them at all. They didn't smell right to her at all.
"I'm from Scotland, in case you couldn't tell," she said with a small laugh, "My accent can be a little thick sometimes. I do apologize for it!"

Lela took Spencer's hand and shook it. "It's nice to meet you too, Spencer," she said with a smile. "I've lived here my whole, there's a...flourishing community here." Lela hoped that Spencer would pick up the hint that there were other supernaturals here. Lela had seen many come to her hometown in search of others like themselves. But the supernatural community here was very discreet and liked to keep to themselves. "North America isn't such a bad place to be. I mean, it gets pretty cold here during winter but that's not such an inconvinience, especially if you have an extra fur coat some nights." Lela smirked at her own little joke.
"You're accent's not that bad," she reassured the werewolf. "I've definitely heard worse."
Lela shifted in her seat, adjusting herself so that she could see that same group of boys who had not quit looking at them. Their staring was making her uncomfortable. And the way they were looking at them set alarm bells off in her head. Lela especially didn't like the way the blonde boy kep giving her a greedy stare. And the way they were dressed was like wanna-be gangsters. Lela crossed one leg over another and began tapping one of her heels on the tile floor as she continued to watch the 'gang' out of the corner of her eye.

Spencer followed Lela's eyes to the group of boys staring at them. She rolled her eyes, how come guys just didn't get it? Mating season wasn't there yet, they were going to have to wait.
"I don't understand guys, do you? I mean no matter what speices they always have sex on the brain," she snorted, and rolled her eyes.
Well, Eric wasn't like that. He never was like that. The thoughts of her dead friend made her want to howl in sorrow. She was sure she often did when she changed. She was sure that she called for him. Spencer never had memories of her transformations but when Eric was alive she had some what vivid memories. Very few but at least some. They were so close she and him. They were true mates, in her opinion. His death was cruel...and she wanted to wipe it away from her mind.
"They also just stare at you, like your some kinda candy or something," she continued crossing her arms over her chest. It was true they way they were looking at them was truly obnoxious.

Lela smiled at her new friend. She liked Spencer, the girl seemed to have a good sense of humor. The pixie nodded at Spencer's commetn about boys of all species only having sex on the brain. "Well," she mused, "if they're so eager to get their pants off..." Lela's soft smile turned into a full blown predator's grin, showing off her unusually sharp little teeth. She lifted an eyebrow and flicked her eyes to the boys and then to the ground. There was a ripping sound and then laughter errupted from a group of kids near the 'gang'.
Lela eyed her handiwork, rather pleased with herself. The saggy, bagging pants of all of the 'gangsters' were in piles at their feet, revealing the boys' boxers. Needless to say, it was not a pretty sight. For one thing, the leader of the gang wore Spongebob Squarepants boxers. Lela grinned wickedly and held up her hand and began making flicking motions with her fingers. The boys, who were desperately trying to pull up their pants had to try even harder as their jeans began twitching out of their hands. One boy even tripped and fell right on his face in his efforts. By this time most of the food court was watching and laughing the boys.
Finally, the blonde boy managed to snatch his pants up off the floor and was holding them up around his waist. Lela frowned. That wouldn't do, oh no it wouldn't. Quickly, still flicking her left hand to make it harder for the others to grab their pants, Lela clutched at air with her right hand and made a pulling motion. There was a faint ripping sound and the blonde boy got a comical look of horror on his face as he turned in circles trying to see the back of his pants where the seat had ripped out.
"You know," she said thoughtfully, still watching the boys who were now tripping over themselves trying to get out of the mall, "I'm glad I came to the mall today. I needed to be reminded how to have fun."
