Alida LehavaI know they walked away with a piece of me, The more I bruise from laying low.
Alida walked through the crowd in the market, a path clearing ahead of her. She smiled lightly. Even the humans could sense the darkness in her. Those poor, pathetic saps. A barbecue stood behind on of the stands, grilling steaks. Alida flicked her hands and it leapt three feet, people gasped and stopped to look. With a smirk she thought, Enough. Just like that, it died down under the grates and carried on as it was before.
You would’ve thought they’d never seen fire before. Alida snorted. Pathetic. She hated having to keep her existence to herself. It was ridiculous that such a powerful race thought that they couldn’t take such a weak, egotistic crowd down.
Chaos followed Alida as she walked down the street. She unwrapped a lollipop and stuck it in her mouth, walking aimlessly. To think she had once been one of these pathetic waste-of-space people. The thought made her shudder. In boredom Alida stretched darkness out between her hands, it pooled and shuddered like a body of pitch black water. A human woman who was pokey enough to look gasped and hurried away as if she had seen a ghost.
Well, Thought Alida. I guess she kind of did. Except, I’m worse. Much worse.

Achille loved being amongst all this humanity, he could hunt or watch and no one ever thought anything of it. He could pickout his victims with ease. Though he did relish a challenge. Amelia had taught him that, it was no fun to be bored and hunting. he had eternity to be lazy about his hunting, but for now in his youth he liked challenges.
Perhaps thats why he decided to settle down in one city, to see how well he could be 'himself' and not get caught. He also heard of course that there was a thriving supernatural community here. Which he found strange hat so many would flock to one place. Birds of a feather flock together I suppose he thought to himself.
Achille walked through the market place, getting of course the occasional glances from girls. Of course he'd flash them a smile, a smile that often said 'Come follow me, you'll love it.' But he had fed last night, and he had to space out his feedings. Then he heard shouts and screaming. He lowered his sunglasses and looked over to see a grill errupt into flames. He raised an eyebrow, what a curious trick. All the people were freaking out, but the flame soon calmed down. He looked around and noticed a girl playing with darkness between her hands.
A demon, that much Achille new, a reckless one at that. He returned his sunglasses in place an strode up behind her and whispered in her ear, "Be careful, cherie, you don't want to expose us all do you?"
Achille's voice was deep and accented. He never bothered to ever lose his accent, it had a tendency to help with his hunting. He then began walking away from the strange girl, hoping his warning would be enough.

Alida LehavaI know they walked away with a piece of me, The more I bruise from laying low.
Alida tired of molding the darkness into objects and let it disintegrate back into her hands and her essence. She felt another presence, a supernatural one, nearby. What she couldn’t tell was what the supernatural was. It wasn’t an angel, she knew that for sure- if it had been she’d feel more easily angered and perhaps threatened. So it wasn’t an angel, nor was it her own kind- the demon. No, that too warranted a sense to tell who it was, and no senses were alerting Alida to be wary of another demonic presence. Suddenly she felt someone in her ear, whispering caution. The slight smell of death and copper scented blood reached her nose as she bristled.
“And just who are you to be telling me to be careful?”
Alida projected at him as he walked away. Arrogant fool. Just because his species was immortal, fast, strong and had powers meant nothing. They were on the same level as everyone else, and if any species were in danger of exposing the whole race of supernatural- it was vampires. They directly fed on humans, and if that wasn’t a danger then playing with a few shadows and starting a few fires was most certainly not.

This is way more groovy than the mall, Chris thought to himself as he roamed the marketplace. He loved these sort of things. Farm raised vegetables, hand made goods, and all that...those were the things he liked to buy. Of course, Iggy, also liked to sell his own things here. Despite his angelic ways, Iggy was a very good at sewing...and tye dye...of course. He was also good at painting, sculpting, guitar and all the like, he had a lot of time on his hands to learn skills. And he used them to make money, so he didn't actually have to get a real job. That had no appeal to Iggy whatsoever. Who wanted to be apart of the establishment?
Chris also liked marketplaces because everyone was just so happy, kinda like the mall. He loved the mall now more than ever, after meeting Katya earlier that day. He had several hours before he ahd to make himself presentable...whatever that meant. As he walked, smiling at people winking at pretty girls, a smell of fire and shadow hit him. And then the similar smell of blood...the same way that Katya smelt. Except she smelt better...by a long shot.
Iggy stopped dead in his tracks. He had no desire to come across a demon again. That was one of the worst expierences of his life, or whatever it is. They were dark creatures...and he knew that both of them probably could sense him. So he did the one thing he was good at. He hid. Achille stopped his stride, a small smirk on his face. He liked to provoke people, especially demons. They were so quick to grow in anger, they were fragile and depressed. Despite their true immortality, they always seemed to be wary of something.
He turned around and faced the demon girl, lowering his sunglasses to get a proper look at her. She was pretty...for a demon. But he was pretty...for a vampire. It was the order of things. Predators had to be alluring, and demons were predators in a different way. He smiled and walked up to her again. He wondered what demons were made out of? Did they keep their body or lose it?
"Achille, thats who, cherie," he said, "And I'd watch who you got sassy with, you never know who you'll end up in the gutter with."
That was a true statement. And proper advice, Achille had lost his life for his own sassy arrogance, and even though the girl was a demon, it was still just a warning. A warning that he wished he would've had. But he liked his new life, he loved it. And he wouldn't change it for the world.
Then a smell hit him. A heavenly smell. He knew the smell...an angel.
"Well, seems you got yourself an enemy," he said pointing to Iggy's hiding spot, "Curious thing angels and demons are. Hate each other but cant help but get into each others way."

Alida LehavaI know they walked away with a piece of me, The more I bruise from laying low.
Alida crossed her arms over her chest and leaned to one side, not backing down. She absolutely hated arrogant people like this vampire, because he was so obvious about it too. When he approached her again, Alida kept her eyes on his. There was no way he was going to walk all over her. No way. Alida rolled her eyes. He said his name as if it actually meant something special, and that she should know who he was. Well, Alida had no idea who this hot-shot was and the sooner he got over himself, the better.
“Is that a threat?”
She scoffed, raising an eyebrow. Alida didn’t have to be careful with anything, she didn’t care whether she existed or not. After all, she was already dead. Her death hadn’t been warranted or provoked, it had just been because someone had decided she was the one to be killed. All of a sudden, the hairs on her arms and neck stood up. There was an angel near by. The pathetic things.
“Don’t act like you know anything about my kind,”
Alida spat, her eyes flashing darkly. He had nerve, this Achille. What type of name was that anyway? He was a fool.
“I don’t care for angels, particularly but they never provoked any true hatred for me. Stereotypes are overrated."

Achille smirked, this day was beginning to get interesting. He liked a girl with spirit and fire, and she had a lot of it...this demon girl. Anyone who had the balls stand up to him was good in his book. But she was spiteful too, something that he hated. SO quick to anger, didn't she know she had eternity? Achille never got frustrated or angry these days, he was more of the quiet vengenful type. He was in no rush, he had eternity.
"Achille is Achilles in french," he said with a sarcastic smile, "But I guess beauty doesn't always have brains."
He had heard a tiny thought of hers. It happened on occasion to him. Achille knew that vampires often had powers, but his always seemed to come and go. Not even Amelia could teach him how to handle them, they more wild then anything he had ever dealt with, including this arrogant demon.
"Perhaps I know more of your kind then you care to admit," he said cooly, his temper never rising to the challenge. It was all patience on his part, cool patience. ((OOC: I'm skipping Iggy for this post but he'll be in the next one))

Alida raised her chin when Achille smirked, and narrowed her eyes. It was an instant thing that she didn’t trust him. He seemed too calm and way too cocky to be liked. It was Achille’s personality that reminded her of the man she had once loved, the man she had burned in the house with her family. That was the only way to deal with men like him, smother them in flames. Then see how big and bad they are.
“I never asked about your name, or cared what it meant for that matter.”
She hissed, her eyes flashing. He was obviously one of those vampires with the power to mind read. Where she could, Alida threw up walls around her mind. It was one thing she had learned in her short time as a hateful demon. "It’s still a strange name, no matter what it means. I don’t need brains to figure that.”
Alida shifted her weight and glared at this man. He was infuriating. Why couldn’t he just go away? All he was doing was goading her into arguments with his cool temper and using stupid comments to make her seem like the idiot.
“Well, I wouldn’t know, would I? I can’t dissect your freaking mind to figure out what you know. And apparently being beautiful doesn’t equate to being smart. What would I know?"
I walk around like I’m alive again, But I know it’s just not the same.
